Worth Fighting For (1)
I let my eyes slowly open. The absence of light made the action pointless; I couldn't see any more than I could with my eyes shut. Sighing, I reached into my pocket for the small rough, ragged stone, and felt the wall beside me before adding another grooved line next to all the others. Counting the latest thirty one lines, I used the stone to circle them- another month had gone by. Tomorrow would be the start of the ninth month I had been stuck in this small, damp and cool room. Time had ceased to mean much to me. At first I had kept track, because I had hope that a rescue party would arrive in a few days to break us free, but, as the days w
Once, long ago there lived a boy. This boy was no ordinary boy, no, he was what some would consider a giant. He stood up to the biggest castles when he was 10. And at the age of 20 he towered over entire villages and towns, almost as if watching over them.
Unable to find a home that best fit his proportions he took to the mountains, using his bare hands to bore a hole in the bottom of a mountain, he crafted his home. With his raw brute strength he crafted boulders into crude pieces of furniture fit for him.
He enjoyed his solitude for the most part. No frightened shrieks, no staring children, no accidental fires. The days became week

Kara stared at the simple house, foot tapping impatiently. “Talia invited me over and NO ONE IS EVEN HOME! This place doesn’t even look barely used!” Kara sighed. “I hope this isn’t her idea of revenge for the nail-polish…”
Kara heard a rustling not too far from the house. Glancing towards the noise, she saw Talia running towards her form the street.
“Kara!” Talia rammed the girl, knocking her to the ground. “C’mon, we gotta run!”

Talia yawned. The day was dragging on for her and she glanced at her nails. “Oi. I wish Kara wouldn’t pester me about something I’ve already told her a million times. At least no one was home to see it.
Just then, Talia heard the front door open and close. &ldq

The Dollhouse Chapter 7
Ivan POV
I cranked up the heat in my truck to ward off the frosty air as I drove home from work. As usual, I drove straight home. I really didn't have many people in my life in the way of friends or family. Most people make friends at school and as they grew up...I didn't really have any of that. No social commitments to speak of other than work. My thoughts drifted to Genevieve. We had been talking for small periods of time every day. Most of the time she stayed in the doorway, but every once in a while she would climb down the ladder I made her and sit on the table top. The conversations we had were the most I had talked to any one person

The Dollhouse Chapter 6
Genevieve POV
I spent the rest of yesterday and most of this morning putting my house in order. Exhausted and feeling gross, I took another shower to wash off the grime and ease my sore muscles. After I dried my hair, I sat down for a moment to rest, but the first thing that came to my mind when I wasn't busy was the pull of the closet door. Immediately I grabbed my keys and left the house to get some fresh air. It was too early to deal with that nonsense again. Besides, I didn't commit to today, I only said perhaps. I ran to the bank, changed my address, and even went grocery shopping. It would be nice to have some fresh food around instead
